EscucharLa Academia de cine de Estados Unidos comenzó este martes el esperado anuncio de los nominados a los Óscar, en los que el mexicano Guillermo del Toro y su cinta “La forma del agua” fueron nominados a 13 Óscar.
Las 24 categorías para la 90° edición de los premios más codiciados del cine, que se entregarán el 4 de marzo en Hollywood, se anuncian en dos bloques.
La cinta del mexicano sumaba en el primer bloque siete nominaciones: diseño de producción, cinematografía, vestuario, edición de sonido, mezcla de sonido, banda sonora y edición de cine. En el segundo bloque obtuvo otras seis nominaciones.
“La forma del agua” cuenta una historia de amor entre una limpiadora ciega y una criatura anfibia guardada en un tanque de agua en una instalación militar de Estados Unidos en plena Guerra Fría.
Ganó el León de Oro de Venecia y el premio del sindicato de productores de Estados Unidos (PGA), además del Globo de Oro por dirección para Del Toro, que fue nominado también a los premios que entrega el sindicato de directores (DGA).
Del Toro aparece favorito al premio de dirección, a la que fue nominado en 2007 por “El laberinto del fauno”, que se llevó tres estatuillas, pero no la de director: ganó Martin Scorsese con “Los infiltrados”.

Los Premios de la Academia se entregarán el domingo 4 de marzo en el Teatro Dolby en Los Ángeles.
